Traveling Speechie essential

As mentioned in my previous post, the traveling Speechie in Victoria, Australia, is never guaranteed the same room from which to work and do assessments and therapy.

There is also no assurance that the room will have facilities such as a white/chalkboard or even have a proper set up to run groups (both of which I currently face in one of my schools). Which is why I was delighted to find this writing table, a decent sized item that can be carried around in my suitcase and can be used effectively in therapy.

I like that there is a magnetic board version to stick on other visuals. Needless to say, the kids love it when given the chance to write or draw on it. It is also sturdy enough to be propped up vertically on the desk so students can see what’s written on the board from a slight distance. Janod is a toy company based in France hence why the French words, but the magnetic letters that came with the board were all part of the English alphabet.

In Australia, this 4 in 1 Magic Table can be purchased for AUD59.95 from myshopping.com.au.
